This is unfortunately a limit of the Windows OS and not Camtasia Studio in my opinion. There may be another way but I find this most effecient but it gets expensive to have a setup like this for doing what you want to do. But you would have to have the correct devices to do so and record into a Multi Track Audio SOftware with each Channel/Voice/Sound on it's own Tracks in order to accomplish this task. It may be possible with more money involved on using Pro Audio USB Interfaces so you would have more than one device for recording your audio.įor example I can use my Presonus USB 2|6 or 6|8 Audio Interface and any software and Pro Audio Recording DAW Software and it works good. but it is not possible to separate the audio from each one to separate tracks. mp4 format or whatever you choose when in editing and if you separate the audio and video it will only show the one audio track and that audio track has the other persons voice, online gaming video sound etc. But the fact remains that it is put into one.
Camtasia will record video and audio of your voice and the system sounds from another video or online game and conversations with Skype etc. It is because of Windows sound cards only having one input and output to use too. Send the movie sound to the TV, headphones/speakers or a soundbar at the same time.
For what he is trying to do I agree with Rick and this is not possible to do in Camtasia Studio. Upgrade your home theater: Stream movies from your PC to the big screen.
